Dr. Troy Humphreys, O.D., FAAO
Dr. Troy Humphreys grew up in Sparks, Nevada, and received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1996. He received his doctorate of Optometry with honors from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2000. Dr. Humphreys received his fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) in 2005.
Dr. Humphreys was the Nevada Optometric Association Doctor of Optometry of the Year in 2016, and is the current President of the Nevada Optometric Association. He currently is an adjunct clinical professor of Optometry for Pacific University and has interests in general medical eyecare, dry eye treatments, refractive surgery management including LASIK, PRK, and Implantable Collamer Lenses (ICLs). Dr Troy spent internships at Bassett Community Hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska and the Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute in Bellevue, Washington.
Dr. Humphreys enjoys the outdoors and is an avid skier, hiker, mountain biker, and outdoorsman and enjoys sharing these passions with his wife and two young children. He is a licensed private pilot and loves to explore the skies above the Western US. He further enjoys traveling to provide eyecare to the less privileged. He has served thousands of patients in Costa Rica, Honduras, and Mexico during the past 10 years, and will continue to do so. He is humbled to transition the much needed Optometry legacy for the Lassen County population!

Dr Jim Herzman, OD
Dr. James Herzman has practiced in northern Nevada since 2003. You will love his calm yet knowledgeable demeanor and his love of the outdoors. He grew up in Long Pine, CA and is an avid outdoorsman who lives with his wife in Truckee, CA.
He provides comprehensive eye care, including management of diabetic retinopathy, cataracts and other eye diseases.
Dr. Herzman received his Bachelor of Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara and his Doctorate of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley.
Dr Jim will be more available at Legacy, and we are excited he will be providing excellent care to the community! Thanks Dr Jim for your service!
